Inditex – Boost The Change

Inditex is one of the world's leading names in retail. In every store, there's always someone who spots a problem, an improvement, a better way of doing things. But when you operate at that scale, hearing those voices is nearly impossible. That's where this project came from. Grand designed the platform that turned all those ideas into real decisions, for the employees on the floor and for the customers.

The Challenge

The information was there.
The channel wasn't.

Scale was the problem. With so many stores and so many voices, information got lost along the way. The ideas were there, so was the motivation. What was missing was a channel designed to gather them all, organise them and turn them into something real. That was our work.

Research

Where do we start?
Retail > Teams > Repeat

We started this process by interviewing employees from different countries, running design sprints with internal teams and holding sessions with project owners and stakeholders. We wanted to understand beyond the internal processes: what drives someone to want to improve the place where they work. And we did.

Design

Two types of user. Thousands of real improvements.

One platform, two experiences.
One for the people who spot the problems on the shopfloor. One for the central team, with the tools to read that information, prioritise it and turn it into projects with a real impact.

The Result

A global change.

Inditex operates across 214 markets. Over 163,000 employees and more than 6,600 stores worldwide. Boost the Change helped over 2,200 people focused on improving infrastructure and everything related to retail, across the globe, see their ideas and contributions become reality, through the design and optimisation of this platform.
